Parkside Menu Rotation

At Parkside, our top-tier All You Care to Eat food services program is operated by Chartwells Canada, the country’s leading educational food service and support services provider. Crafting on-campus dining experiences with care, they focus on delivering diverse, healthy, and delicious meals to help fuel students through their academic journeys.

We understand that food is an integral part of student wellness and success. As such, Chartwells is driven to source the best ingredients, create tasty menus, educate our students and celebrate food that nourishes, strengthens our community, and respects our planet.

Chartwells executes a robust meal program in four-week menu rotation cycles. The menu items listed on the rotations are changed based on ongoing student feedback and responses to the meals served.

We are continuing to learn more about our students and understand the dietary restrictions they experience. Students with dietary restrictions have the opportunity to meet with the Executive Chef, and a custom meal plan is created for the academic year.

  • With the knowledge that residents are not always on-site and may be participant in all-day and/or night classes, To-Go Lunch and Dinner options available.
  • Daily rotating menu.
  • Themed events and Food Talks with your Chefs.
  • Meet different people while dining! Whether you apply individually or with a roommate, our dining hall has become a known spot for breaking bread with others in the community.
  • With the understanding that some of our residents have dietary restrictions, each menu takes into consideration the following wellness designations: Vegan, Vegetarian, Halal, Gluten Free Desserts, Whole Grains.
  • Available 1:1 with the Executive Chef for those with dietary restrictions.

At Parkside, we take pride in promoting a collaborative living environment, which is why we ask for and respond to suggestions, weekly. We announce upcoming deliveries paired with a 'You Asked, We Delivered' sign to show our residents their requests were fulfilled. You want it? We got it!

Monthly Food Talks

All residents are free to join in for monthly Food Talks organized with the Parkside Residence Life Coordinator, Chartwells General Manager and Executive Chef. It gives residents the opportunity to voice concerns and speak one-on-one with the staff and chefs.

At Parkside we value resident feedback. That’s why we invite our community to participate in periodic Food & Dining surveys, where you’ll also have the chance to win exciting prizes for taking part.

Community & Culture

Dining at Parkside plays an active role in building community. In collaboration with Parkside and Chartwells, the dining team delivers a vibrant calendar of cultural celebrations and themed events.

These initiatives foster belonging, inclusivity, and social connection—key pillars of a positive student residential experience.

  • Cultural observances such as Ramadan, Diwali, Chinese New Year, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
  • Community-building events including 50 Shades of Chocolate, Hot Wing Challenges, Canadian Cheese Tastings, Maple Syrup Taffy, S’mores Night, BBQs, Valentine’s Day features, and summer beach-themed events.
